Galentine’s Day!

That’s right, I meant Gal! You’ve all likely celebrated Valentine’s Day, but the new “it” holiday is one you celebrate with your fellow gal pals! February 13th each year is a newer holiday, dedicated to ladies celebrating ladies with Galentine’s day

How you choose to celebrate is up to you and the squad. Go big by dressing up and going out for a fun dinner together. Or keep it simple by staying in and watching a movie wearing your most comfy pajamas. Or at the least, simply take a minute to call up your bestie and tell her how appreciated she is!

I got together with a couple blogger friends at Anahata Collaborative (, in Uptown which was the perfect location mixing a beautiful combination of industrial chic! And this celebration wouldn’t have been complete without some Cutwater Spirits to cheers, and so many tasty sweets! I mean, mini cupcakes are a food group, right?!

Gathering around this beautifully decorated table set with chocolates, flowers, candles, and hanging out with these amazing women was Galentine’s at its best! Getting to know these ladies through blogging has been incredible. They are so supportive, kind, uplifting, and an absolute blast! I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect party, with the most fashionable dressed gals!

We had such a blast shooting these photos! A huge thank you to Katie ( for capturing all the smiles, decor, and fun moments! You couldn’t have been any sweeter. I absolutely adore all of these ladies, and can’t wait for our next bash. I’m linking each of their blogs below, they’re all so different and fun! Be sure to go check them out! Bree (, Carrie (, Dua (, Jenn (, Heather (, and Meg (

So embrace Galentine’s, celebrate it, maybe make this the day you blast female anthems all day in your car, “who run the world…girls!” Either way, be sure to give a shout out to the women in your life and let them know they are appreciated! You see it’s more than just the beautiful flowers or delicious chocolates. All things Valentines are wonderful don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely not opposed. But how often do we get to cheers and appreciate our girlfriends? We get so busy juggling work, family, and other day-to-day obligations keeping all of the plates spinning up in the air, being the ultimate multi-tasking machines we are, that we forget to step back and appreciate the magic that is woman!

I chose two looks, one casual and the other more dressy. The casual look is a simple take on the graphic sweater, but styled up. I paired it with these high-waisted skinny jeans that are so flattering and keep their shape all day, and a little rip detail which I always love. I added a great Gucci dupe to bring the look together and some bling with my jewelry, a simple way to elevate any outfit. Then I finished it with a perfect wedge, to elongate my legs but also be comfy enough to wear all day!

For the second look, I wanted it to be classy but cute, and a dress just wasn’t in the picture for me during this snowstorm! I love this red sweater for the obvious pop of color, but also because you can wear it on or off the shoulder. It also has a gorgeous weave detail in the back! Pairing it with my favorite high-waisted white skinny jeans give it a crisp, clean look but is still super cozy. Again I dressed it up with some bling jewelry and my sparkly pumps!
